You know what they say about Birds of a feather….. they usually become the best of friends!
This card was made using the Skylark paper and complements, the feathers stamp set and some natural hemp. The edges of my card were distressed by scissor distressing (carefully running your scissors across the edge of your paper in ONE direction- I don’t recommend a back and forth motion as this tends to cause rips in the paper).
Welcome to the last day! Today I get to sit back and wait to see how much hostess rewards we have to give away to our Grand Prize winner! I cannot wait- be sure to check back tomorrow to see who it is!
Today I wanted to showcase a card and a stamp set- CTMH has some of the cutest stamps! The paper is one you have seen before – maybe it is my actual favourite pack since I seem to use it so much- Skylark! I actually have mixed in two stamp sets on this card- one which is an upcoming stamp of the month (the word bubble) and the ‘Owls’ stamp set. To create my colourful owl I stamped the branch and the owl on a variety of papers (they are from a few different paper packs). I then cut out the pieces I wanted and pieced them together- paper piecing! I love how it all turned out in the end.
Welcome to Day 11 of the CTMH Idea Book reveal- today’s page is simple and sweet! I simply love how it all came together. I based this page on a sketch I saw on Pinterest ( you can follow me on Pinterest by clicking here). I knew when I saw the layout that I wanted to keep things clean but beautiful. The paper I used is all from the Skylark paper pack- isn’ that patterned piece with the birds in the top left corner to die for! Would you believe the paper looks like that- I didn’t have to add anything to that top corner!
I did add some simple pieces to finish the page off- some flowers and a bird from the Skylark Assortment and a few of the chipboard pieces from the Skylark complements.
Welcome to Day 8 of the CTMH Idea Book reveal! Today I want to share with you a layout inspired by page 21 of the new Idea Book (if you have one you can look it up and see what I am talking about- and remember you can also view the idea book online).
As soon as I saw that single page in the Idea book I knew I had to recreate it- with my own twist of course! This layout does not feature any of the stamping that the other one does- I instead used the Skylark complements to fill in the places that would have featured some stamping. I love to stamp but I also know that not everyone feels the same way- this shows the versatility of our product line!
The other thing that I added to this layout (beyond a second page) is a piece of the Skylark Picture my Life kit. You can see it in the close up photo below- I used one of the cards and created a nice little spot to feature my journaling!
