Brae-er Team Blog Hop: Get it Before it is Gone!

It is always sad to see an idea book come to a close- especially when it has been FULL of product you have loved (or in this case, that I have LOVED!). This is where we find ourselves this month as many of the items in our Seasonal Expressions 1 book are no longer available after the end of March….

My team decided to take a positive spin on this sad occasion and celebrate with a blog hop that features some of the pieces that we love best in this book! Celebrate with us and be sure to order any items you see that you love… after all soon they will be gone!

My favourite item in this whole book is 100% the hopscotch paper- I have loved it for so many things! Here is I used it in a Vacation album workshop- 10 beautiful scrapbook pages all created with this beautiful paper! Cross Canada Blog Hop: Valentine’s Day

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog hop where we are sharing out love of Valentine’s Day! If you have come from Nicky’s blog then you are on the path across Canada to see all our artwork- have fun and don’t forget to leave a little LOVE on every blog by adding a comment!

This holiday is one of my favourite smaller holidays. I love the colours, I love all the fun artwork I can create and I love that the holiday is about love!

Here is a banner I created for my mantel- I am really enjoying the mantel in the new house and decorating it for the different seasons and holidays. This banner was quickly made using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and the Artiste cartridge. I used older papers as they had the colours I was seeking (a great way to use up your stash) and added some glitter paper for sparkle.

My next project was one inspired by something I saw on pinterest. I used one of our decor frames and simply added hearts cut from all the CTMH cricut cartridges. I used a few different papers and sizes to add some variety. Added some mini clothespins to attach the hearts and done! A cut piece of art for the mantel that I can easily change out later!

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Trick or Treat!

Welcome to our Trick or Treat Blog Hop across Canada!! If you have come from Joanne’s blog them you are on the path of lots of Halloween fun!

For my treat I created a simple one page layout- the spin on this (or trick you could say) is that I created this using our new Artfully Sent cartridge (which is a card based cartridge… think outside the box and you can use it on your layouts too!). I cut the Haunted house and fence on the ‘fit to page’ setting on my machine. I backed my house with yellow paper to make the windows shine. I then added some stickers from the Scaredy Cat Complements and used foam tape to pop them up. This came together very quickly!

So Happy … with CTMH! Brae-er Team Blog Hop!

Welcome to the October Blog Hop- this month we are featuring things that share why we are happy to be with CTMH!

Now if you have followed my blog for any amount of time then you already know MANY of the things that delight me about my choice to be a CTMH consultant!

My team is an amazing group of women! When a place a task before these ladies they go for it and give it everything they have! They inspire me and push me to new heights- I know without them I would be nothing!

Close to my Heart- the company, the corporate staff… they are family! and they treat ME like family! There is no better feeling in the world then that of being heard, having a voice and actually seeing your company make changes based on what consultants want- they really do have our best interest at heart!

The product- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the product! It is what brought me to the company in the first place. My deep and profound desire to have it all! Of course that was 10 years ago and with new idea books all the time, I keep feeling like I need to have it all! Since product was my first love with CTMH, I decided to focus on product for this hop.

This card if my FAVOURITE for the upcoming holiday season- I am not even sending this one out (I am going to keep it for myself because I find it so darling!). A fairly simple card. For the scooter I used paper piecing to get the variation in colours (just stamp your image a few different times with different colours of ink- cut out the pieces you want to use and glue them to your base image). My tree I cut and used 3D foam tape to add some dimension. Stamp a simple sentiment and you are done!

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Picture My Life

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring the Picture my Life cards! If you have come from Lucy’s blog then you are on your way and already feeling inspired!!

If you haven’t heard these PML cards are AWESOME!! You can do so much with them- they were designed for pocket scrapbooking- a fast, simple and yet beautiful option to traditional scrapbooking that has gained in popularity the last few years. But those little cards are so versatile! (If you SEARCH the Picture my Life on my blog you will see some other things I have done with them).

What did I do with mine this time? I used them to create three adorable (and super easy) cards! My top card features 2 Wanderful PML cards – I matted it on some cardstock embossed with our honeycomb folder and some of our Wanderful paper. I also added some stickers from the Wanderful complements- LOVE this series of products!

Below is another card- the sentiment on the card is a PML card that I trimmed down. I used the zip strip from the Wanderful paper to create my paper ribbon and held it down with mini-stapels (if you have NOT seen our mini-stapler you are missing out!)

My third card is the simplest of all- just a card, some 3D foam tape and some Wanderful paper- so pretty!

Brae-er Team Blog Hop: New CTMH product!

WELCOME to my team blog hop! My fabulous ladies have been working hard to create some beautiful projects to share our new line of product with you. As you read on you will want to click on the name I leave below to visit the next blog- keep doing that and at the end you should end up back here. I am going to share with you a trio of fall cards I created.

Fall Card #1: I created this using Pathfinding paper, complements and assortment. I added some natural hemp (from my stash) and stamped the sentiment from Lovely Birthday stamp set. I added some Kraft paper to the mix and finished the edges of my paper with our scallop border punch and chocolate ink.

Fall Card #2: This card is made up of a lot of white daisy paper. The back piece I stamped in flaxen ink with the Season of Thanks stamp set. I also stamped my sentiment and single leaf with the Thankful Heart stamp set. I coloured in my leaf with our ShinHan touch twin markers.

Fall Card #3: THIS is my favourite of the three and was the easiest! I used the fox that was part of the Pathfinding complements and stamps from the Lovely Birthday stamp set and the Hello Summer stamp set.

New CTMH Product Blog Hop: Year of Dates

WELCOME!! To our NEW CTMH PRODUCT BLOG HOP! If you have come from Carol’s blog then you are doing this right (LOL)… just keep following along and click on the link at the end of my post.

and who doesn’t love new product… I am very excited to share my project with you. I decided to focus on the NEW COLOURS we have (five in total) and our new My Designer creations CUPCAKE BOX!

Our new colours are thistle, flaxen, canary, pixie, and glacier. In my project I focused on pixie, glacier and thistle (I love this colour combination!). You can see them in my cupcake box below:

So – what is a year of dates? Well this is going to be a Christmas gift for my hubby. In the box I have created a series of small cards (two for each month) and in each card is a date for the two of us. Some dates are stay at home things and some are spend a day or an evening out. I tried to really mix it up and include things we both like. Here are some of my ideas:

ice cream sundaes at home
picnic at the park
ice skating
sledding
movies (at home or at the theatre)
apple picking
go to a ball game
go to a hockey game
have a board game evening…

I created my cards to follow through on the colour palette I shared above. I cut all these cards using the CTMH cricut artiste cartridge. I cut the matching hearts in glitter paper using the same cartridge.

The inside of the card is similar for them all- some simple line detail around the inside piece to frame it up (hand drawn) and then the month and date activity.

Brae-er Team July Blog Hop: Out with the old!

Welcome to another Brae-er team blog hop- this month we decided to focus on products that are retiring in order to make way for NEW stuff in August (I am super excited to share the new stuff with you!)

If you have never participated in a blog hop then just read on and follow the links provided on each person’s blog- if you get lost you can come back here to see a full list of participants (at bottom). I decided to focus on one of my favourite items on the retiring list- of course these are now sold out! But I will share anyway and maybe some day they make a come back. This is a layout made with one of our True-fit folios- they are great for a layout on the front and some ‘stuff’ inside (they are a 12×12 file folder). I used this one to showcase some of Ellery’s artwork- kids bring so much home and I wanted to have it in an album if possible.

In this photo you can see some of her work sticking out of the top. I used an old paper because it fit the art theme well. Since it had a strong pattern to it I kept my additions to a minimum and matted my photo and just added some pennants and flowers (off another piece of paper in that particular kit). THEN I used the July Stamp of the month- Circus Alphabet- for my title (and you can get this stamp still when you purchase $50 or more on my website- for only $5!)

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Mini Books

I LOVE making mini-books- especially for my non-crafty friends as gifts. They are the ones who appreciate the hard work and both of us know that they would never make one of their own. This book is one of those… made for a friend expecting her fourth and last baby (and since she refuses to give into my peer pressure and find out what she is having she gets one made in gender neutral colours).

Now this is a blog hop as well, so welcome! Read on and follow the links to see LOTS of different ideas for mini books.

For my album I used one of our Hip Pic albums (if you search on my website ‘hip pic’ you can see a few ways I have used these- they are so great!). I also used the Babycakes Picture my Life cards to decorate the album- a little bit of stamping and some accessories pull it all together!

You can see I used lots of washi tape- many of my hand cut pieces are actually cut from some of the picture my life cards (not stamped at all). This book came together in about an hour- quick and lovely!
