Cross Canada Blog Hop- Central Park

Welcome to this month’s Cross Canada Blog Hop where we are excited to bring you paper-crafting projects featuring Central Park. If you have come from Krista’s blog then you are on the right path from one side of Canada to the other, consultant by consultant!

This month’s featured paper is Central Park- a bright, colourful paper that is perfect for all your summer memories! My first layout features a compilation of photos from one summer. I wanted a fun way to preserve these special moments but they were not enough for their own layout (even a one page). This layout was the perfect answer and I love how it turned out. I used the Central Park Complements and the Central Park sequins to complete this cute look.

My second layout is a one page layout. For this page I used the Central Park Paper, Complements, sequins and the sticker Alphabet (I seriously LOVE this sticker alpha!). This hot air balloon print is one of my favourite pieces of paper in the Central Park paper pack and it was the perfect fit for our Canada Day photos which all seemed to involve inflatables.

I hope you enjoyed my layouts. Now hop on over to Alyson’s blog to see what she is has created with Central Park.

Don’t forget to leave some comment love below.

April: Cross Canada Blog Hop

Welcome to April’s Cross Canada Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring ‘Celebrations’- could be birthdays, special occasions or any other celebration we can papercraft! If you are coming from Arlene’s blog then you are working your way across the country!

For my project I decided to focus on a card for a Baby Shower (gender neutral card).

Materials used:

Chelsea Garden Paper Pack

vellum Paper

Chelsea Garden Complements

Chelsea Garden dots and gems

April Stamp of the Month: Colour your Life

CTMH Watercolour Pencils

Waterbrush

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the ‘Life’ image in black ink. I then coloured it with the watercolour pencils using two colours per letter. To blend the colours I used the waterbrush- this helped create an ombre look.

Now hop on over to Janet’s blog to she what she is celebrating!

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Favourite things!

Welcome to the August Cross Canada Blog Hop! If you have come from Krista’s blog then you are on the right path.

This month we are featuring our favourite new item- honestly I had a really hard time picking just ONE item so I kind of did a work around 🙂

My favourite thing is our NEW ‘Make it From Your Heart-Volume 3’ how-to book! If you have never seen one of our how-to books then you are missing out! These are perfect for inspiration and ideas when you need JUST the right layout! Both of my layouts featured here are from the new book (and there are so many to choose from!!!!)

My first page also features our new Fundamental papers, Bashful (our colour of the year for this year!) and some cuts from our ‘You are Here’ Cricut Cartridge (LOVE THIS ONE TOO!)

My comic-con layout also uses new Fundamentals, the Cricut Cartridge (for font and the city skyline) BUT I also used some of the Jack Paper Pack to get just the right look.

Now, can I share a secret with you?

The ‘Make it from Your Heart’ book has some extra features in the back- patterns for pocket scrapbooking AND patterns for pages that was to use our Page Protector Plus system! BOTH the layouts I used here use of of the Page Protector Plus- you can see more in the video posted below!

Cross Canada Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog Hop. In this blog hop you ‘hop’ across Canada as you visit CTMH consultant blogger’s! This month we are featuring whatever current product inspired us the most!

For my project I chose to focus on the Live Beautifully paper. I wanted to work with some heritage photos and one of the stories from my Grandmother’s life. This one was about her second daughter, who she gave up for adoption. It is a pretty amazing story and one that I would have loved to ask more questions about- sadly, she told her daughter’s about this little girl just before she passed away and we never had the time to ask anything. What I do know is that my Grandmother was much more complex than I had imagined and my imagination can fill in the rest!

cardstock layout

For my cardstock creation I used our fundamental cardstock (the whimsy palette). The layout came from our Reflections book (dig these out- there are so many great layout ideas in them!)  I them embellished my layout with fundamental stickers (again in the whimsy palette) and some of our fun enamel and glitter duo embellishments.

My layout was created using the February sketch by Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. I used the CTMH La Vie en Rose paper. Brae-er Team Blog Hop: Featured Paper Pack

Welcome to another Brae-er Team blog hop! This month we are sharing art created using the CTMH featured paper packs Zoe and Nevermore (What is a featured paper pack you ask? Just as it sounds- it is a paper that CTMH recommends we feature in social media. These papers are timely and available so get them while you can!)

For my project I decided to take the Zoe paper (one that if you look back in my posts I have used a LOT in August and September) and do something unexpected with it.  I paired it with some of our White Pines Compliments and some teal shimmer trim (and a splash of Cranberry cardstock) and got the PERFECT Christmas layout!

zoe christmas layout

If you look closely you can see that the snowflakes and some of the other complements are a clear plastic- they add such a nice touch to the layout.  I also added in some sticker stars from the complements and a few bitty sparkles (cause you can never have too many sparkles!) My title was created using our new CTMH cricut Artisty.

Cross Canada Blog Hop: Mini Album

Welcome to the Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring mini albums! This month CTMH has a wonderful special featuring our Crush books so of course it only makes sense that I chose to focus on that mini-album!

IMG_6191

This month I created two Crush books for special team project. I decorated the front and the first double layout spread and then send the book on to a participating team member. She will do the same and the send it to another team member! Each book will make the rounds and by the end of the summer return to me- through this we will have fun, share our creativity and learn a little bit more about each other!

Here are my books:

IMG_6168

This one features the In the Pink series- now the assortment sold out yesterday so you can still purchase the crush book, clips and sticky tabs but you can no longer get the special on this one.

I love this one for its pretty colours and who it fits perfectly with just about everything! I have used one for a first year album, book about me and now a penpal journal!

IMG_6169

Here is the second book for my team. This one uses the Wildwood book and accessories (with some others added in).

Again so nice- more masculine. Perfect for outdoors camping but not selective to them. It also coordinates PERFECTLY with our Jackson paper and PML cards!!!

Cross Canada Easter Blog Hop

Welcome to our Cross Canada Blog Hop where we will be sharing creations inspired by Easter! Have fun ‘hopping’ coast to coast across Canada to see what our whole group has created for you!

My layout was created using the Brushed paper pack.  I added some of our white shimmer trim,  smoothie striped washi, brushed complements and brushed assortment. This paper is not going anywhere until later this summer and it is the PERFECT paper for spring photos (especially Easter!).

This hop was also the perfect reason for me to get some scrapbooking done of my Easter pics- for some reason they have piled up and I have not done any layouts of Easter since my daughter was born (she is almost 4). I think that part of me was waiting for this paper 🙂
