Artbooking birthday layout

After much deliberation on this layout I am finally finished! For this one I used only cardstock mixed in with accessories and stamping! Stamps used are from the new idea book- the party is on (a hostess exclusive) and All the details. For accessories I used our new aqua dots (so versatile!!) and some seam binding ribbon dyed blue.  The rest was all our fabulous Artbooking cartridge!!

Cards with Babycakes and Artbooking

Okay I BADLY need the rest of my new product to arrive tomorrow morning!! I have been having lots of fun with card stock and our new Babycakes paper but will soon be out!!

Today is National Chocolate Day and I could not pass up the opportunity to create a card with our August stamp of the month- it was perfect!! Of course I used the Babycakes paper, some bronze shimmer trim and one of the diecuts from the Artbooking set. Finished my cake off with liquid appliqué for frosting and orange paper for sprinkles.

This sweet card was made with the same paper and out Artbooking cartridge – the owl, branch and arrow all came from there. I added some of our new aqua dots for a pop of colour!

Having fun with Artbooking!

I cannot say enough fabulous things about our new Artbooking cartridge from CTMH! So here is my attempt to tell you all the things I LOVE about it:
  • I created these two pages with just ONE key!! You read that right one key!
  • Other keys make more double layouts, mini books and so much more!
  • I did not have to think about what size- once you select the key you want all of the features are cut to fit on a 12 x 12 layout- you just select the size they indicated and ‘snap,’ DONE!
  • Fast, simple and easy!

For this two page layout I used the Artbooking cartridge but also changed a few things up.  To add the glittery leaves on my tree and on the vine I used the negative images left on my mat from the tree and covered them with our new bronze shimmer trim.  I made sure to either trim the leaves so they were smaller than the original hole or used smaller ones as I wanted the paper behind to show through a bit.
The vine had different leaves on it to start, I trimmed those off so that I could add matching glittery leaves for flow.
The stamped image is from the upcoming September stamp of the month- Poster Tidings (I really LOVE this one!).  I stamped it twice (one on the colonial white and once on the grey B and T so that I could cut out the words I wanted to highlight).  The paper and button accessories are from our new Babycakes line (not just for babies!).

Brae-er Team Summer fun hop!!

Welcome to our June Summer fun blog hop!  We are glad you are here and are VERY happy to bring you some summer inspiration.  So many of our fun scrapbooking memories are made while the temperature is high and the sun is shining- we hope these projects give you ideas for how to display those special moments- big and little!
My one page layout is actually one inspired by the art department at Close to my Heart- I loved the fun paper ‘rays’ that come out from the centre (where my photo will eventually be placed!).  I also liked that I was able to mix together different paper kits- For Always and Tommy are used for this page.  I also added in some fun cricut Artiste shapes (the arrow, bow and negative image title) and finished it off with sparkes and some washi tape.  Around the edge of my page is a stamp image of stitching (these stamps are the BEST when you want the look but not the work!).

Like what you see? order it on my website (and while there be sure to check out the while supplies last section- many items will soon be leaving us as we prepare to make way for a new Idea Book August 1st).

June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the June stamp of the month blog hop!

If you have come from Sheila’s blog then you are on the right path!
This month we are sharing the stamp set Flowering Bunches- super cute and it coordinates with our Cricut cartridge!
This card is very simple (in fact I had to make it a twenty minute time frame as my youngest has been sick and Mommy has been the only one able to tend to her).  I used Chantilly fabric for my background and stamped the flowers image in Sweet Leaf Pigment ink so that I could colour the image with our CTMH alcohol markers.  I also added some shimmer trim but to tie it into my card I coloured it with one of our green markers.  This is a fun way to change up the look but I would not do it very often as the sparkes can ‘chew’ up the end of your marker a touch.
Hope you enjoyed this project! Now hop on over to Beth’s blog to see what she has created!
