This is one of the contest areas for Leadership in Long Beach, California next week. Yesterday I was NOT entering in this area of the contest – that was until I set foot in my dollar store and came up with a few ideas!!!
This is one of the things that I came up with (but not my contest entry- that you will have to wait until next week to see). Let me know what you think- the entire thing cost around .45 cents. The key chain part was the most expensive at about .20 cents. The idea behind this is that you could give one to your team members as they reach yearly milestones and they can add it to their key chain– it could be a great conversation starter!!
Although this is not my contest entry I do ask that if you are viewing this that you DO NOT use this idea for your own entry- if I changed my mind I would be very sad to see my idea in someone else’s entry!! But, feel free to recreate for you team OR add an initial and make for hostesses!!
The beads are strips of our paper about 6 inches long and cut to a tapered end. You then wind the piece of paper around the end of your piercing tool and cover in liquid glass as you go- a bit messy but a neat look at the end. I covered my number with matching paper and added the phrase ‘years’ with rub-ons and then covered it with clear embossing powder for durability.
Until we craft again, The Brae-er
