Hope for Japan Stamp Set Fundraiser

This is just example of one of the many reasons why I love working for this company- Jeanette our founder and CEO has such a giving heart!! We all know of the tragedy that hit Japan- an earthquake followed by a tsunami- such a terrible thing. I have sadly noticed over the last few days the news of this disaster slipping from the news and being replaced with stories of war and other tragic things BUT I am SADDENED to see this happen since I know to many people it will mean forgetting what is going on over there.
I plan to support the cause in the small ways that I can from home- one way will be to purchase this lovely stamp set pictured above. This stamp set is being offered from now until the end of April for the price of only $5.00- the greatest part is that 100% of the proceeds will go to Japan to help with their recovery!!
Please support this effort by purchasing this set- contact me by email braemontgomery@myctmh.com or order online at http://braemontgomery.myctmh.com
Thanks for your help!

Birth Announcement featuring News Print Rub ons and Kraft Paper

This is a very simple card I made a few weeks ago. I used our new Newsprint Rub-ons and our Kraft paper- also some of the Blue ribbon assortment and one of the Lucky level 2 embellishments.
I started my background with the intend of covering the whole front of the card but soon realized that would take FOREVER! So I ended like this and really liked the effect. I think it will make a cute birth announcement for a little boy!
Now I have to admit something- I had baby on the brain the day I made this because we are expecting (after 7 longs years of waiting for things to work out correctly!!). Currently I am 15 weeks pregnant and things are going pretty well (better since the 1st trimester is over with all of its fun). Now I have one son and would love a baby girl- but something tells me it is a boy- hence this card! We do plan to find out what we are having on April 25th so stay tuned to see a special project to announce that!

My NEW favourite card design!

Yesterday we had our first team crop in a long time and it was wonderful! I got some stuff done and got to chat with great friends- a perfect rainy day!! While there I saw the top card – designed by my sideline Alyson Mayo (this women is an amazing artist!). I have to say I loved it!! and of course that means I also had to scrap-lift it!! Below are three of the cards I created using the template of Alyson’s card AND directions in case you would like to create one too!
This one I created using Mayberry paper and stickease- the sentiment is from the stamp set Trees and Things.

Here I used the Miracle paper and stickease and the stamp set that comes with the Miracle workshop on the go.

And my last one of the day using the Wings Creative Basics and Wings stickease with creme brulee ribbon and licorice opaques.
First, I love using stickease with these cards- it only takes a few minutes and most of our stickease packs have a nice large image that can ‘pop’ into the sky of the card. The think to remember is to back the part that sticks up with paper so that it does not stick to the card base.
Second, how to make it! Take a regular 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 invitation card. Cut one inch of the backside of the card. Score the front side of the card in half (at 2 1/8). The one ince piece that was cut off the back can be cut in half so that it is 5 1/2 by 1/2. Use that piece to create the ledge for the bottom of the card. To do this mount the piece on foam squares and place at the bottom of the back side of the card (which is now the short side).
I hope you can understand it- it really is a super simple card to make!! If you have trouble with my directions let me know and I can post a photo tutorial!

March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop: Sensational Season

Welcome to my corner of the blog hop! If you have arrived from Kathleen’s blog then you are on the right path!
This month we are featuring Sensational Season- a super sweet stamp set that has definitely turned my thoughts to spring!!

To create this card I used the On the Edge pattern from Wishes, Mayberry paper, Pink Ribbon Collection, our 2″ scallop punch and our watercolour pencils. A very simple but cute card!

Now hop on over to Jill’s blog to see what she has created!

Counting Board Book

I would love to be able to claim this project as my own- but, this was created by the very talented people in the art studio at CTMH. I LOVE it!! This set is created using our My Creations Board Book, Mayberry Paper and the Fill in the Blanks Stamp Set (which I totally need to get!)
Check out all the cute pages below- I know I will be replicating this for sure! I have three cousins and a very good friend who are all expecting and this book would be a great addition to a baby gift!

To us it was a HUGE deal!!

A while back, my friend Sarah and I flew to Salt Lake City for a CTMH weekend event. It was a bit of a whirlwind but we had an amazing time!! During out time we were able to rent a car and go and see some sights- the best one was finding CTMH headquarters!!

We were like crazed kids we were so excited! We even went into the lobby and had our photo taken by the lovely girl at the front desk- we introduced ourselved and said we were consultants and she said, “Oh I know, I could tell.” That made us laugh- I mean who else but one of us would find this a major highlight of their trip!! But, now I can check it off my bucket list!

Artwork from my team Stamp Camp

Every catalogue release my upline and I hold a Stamp Camp for our team and some customers. This event does double duty for all of us – gives us time to crop and see the new product samples AND allows us time to conduct some team business meetings. Today I thought I would share with you some of the artwork from our day.
The first card (above) is one that I designed and led participants through for a make and take – I love doing these as all proceeds go to Operation Smile AND everyone has a good time being creative!
The cards below are made by team members- now I have forgotten which cards were created by who so if you see this post and I missed you let me know and I will fix things to give you your credit! I believe the first three were created by the talented Michelle Hughes (sadly, not sure of who did the last two).

There was lots more artwork than this but I just wanted to share a sampling today!
Hope you enjoyed!
