You and Me 3-ring Binder

I showed the front of this last week and promised to come back and show the inside. I based this binder on one that CMTH made for the recent Regional Celebration in Toronto. There’s used different paper but was just as cute and I had to recreate!

This page shows a great way to use our spray pen! I used one of the star stamps in the Shining Star set and placed it on the piece of paper. I sprayed the image and around the image and then lifted away the stamp- the stamp had acted as a mask and left the image you see!

Yes- there is a lot of spraying with the spray pen in this album! All the papers and accessories are from the You and Me kit.

Every other page has a 4×6 flip flap put in place to add even more photos. The sticky edge part was covered with paper that also allowed me to punch holes for the rings.

A simple envelope tied with the gorgeous ribbon in the You and Me set! A great spot to tuck more photos and some journaling.

I just love how it turned out and hope my cousin does too! She is expecting a little girl in September ( a mere week before I am expecting my own little girl!) and I plan to gift this to her. In the meantime I will enjoy gazing at it in my scrapbook room!

May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

If you were here yesterday thanks for coming back! We had a very busy week and weekend in this house and I was unable to get my project and post up until tonight but I hope the wait was worth it!
My card also features the cute May stamp of the Month – Chairs to you! I used it to make a card for my cousins upcoming baby shower. She is expecting a little girl and that is why I chose to make the third chair girly and pink. Of course I have another cousin expecting a boy and now I think I will have to create her a similar card since this one turned out so cute! My scallop border was created using just the top portion of the same chair stamp as the pink chair. All of the paper used in this card is from the You and Me Kit available this month for National Scrapbooking Month.
Now that you have seen my card please visit

Where have I been?

It has been about three weeks since my last post and I have so much to share!! April is always my busiest month- with the Creativ Festival in Toronto, weekend retreats, and Regional Celebration there was so much to do! BUT- now I have tonnes to share so the next few weeks will be rich with photos and project ideas!

We had a fabulous time at Creativ Festival and if you had the chance to come by the booth we thank you! I already am looking forward to the fall show and all the exciting classes that I will be teaching there!

Happening at the same time was Regional Celebration (and just down the road!) This was event put on by Close to my Heart for consultants and it was amazing- the best regional I have ever been too!! We had great business classes, amazing create and takes and inspiration and motivation a-plenty!!
I was really excited as I was asked to teach a 10 minute technique spotlight on one of our products. I chose to do mine on Liquid Applique (stay tuned for more on this class later- for today a photo of me on stage will have to suffice!)

We also had awards- these were for the first quarter of this year (January- March). My team (the Brae-er’s) won 1st place in team sales for small teams- yeah us!!
My downline Audrey won 1st place for sales on her MyCTMH website- yeah to her!!

No artwork pictures yet- but say tuned (it is taking me some time to crop and resize them all!)

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop- Blessed

Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!! This month you will be viewing many projects featuring the stamp set Blessed. If you have arrived from Tamytha’s blog then you are on the right path.

Blessed is a very nice set that lets you play with base and shade stamping (a simple technique that is best done with acrylix stamps!!) Base and shade means that you have two seperate stamp images- one that is the outline of the image and one that is the ‘filler’- you can see that below in my stamped image of the flower.

This card is based on the ‘Matchbook’ pattern from Wishes. I used the spray pen to create my background and then base and shade stamping for my flower. The sentiment is from an older stamp set called For Every Occassion (still available in our current Idea Book).

Now Hop on over to Mary’s blog to see what she has created!

Studio J: Fast, Simple and Easy!!

I LOVE IT!! I really do- I am very behind in my scrapbooking and recently decided that I had to do something to get caught up. That is when I turned to Studio J. Here are four of the layouts I created recently and a few reasons Studio J might be the right choice for you in helping to preserve your memories.

* Fast- yep, takes no time at all. I can usually get a layout done in 15-30 minutes depending on how detailed I want to get.

*Simple- it is really easy to use. You don’t need a computer degree to figure it out as the website is set up similar to other computer programs that people are used to. That being said- you can also do so much!! Edit your photos, change the colours, crop, get rid of red eye and blemishes- and these are just the things you can do to your photos!

You can do so much with the paper elements- change out papers, sand them, ink distress them, add accessories or stickers- even stich on your layouts!

*Easy- it really is!! The easiest part is trying Studio J: it is RISK FREE!! Go online now to http://braemontgomery.myctmh.com and click on the Studio J link. Studio J is FREE to use and play around in. Feel free to create a layout or a tonne of layouts!! You only pay if you choose to purchase your layouts. Share the layouts you complete with friends and family and even me- if you complete one take a screen capture and email it to me at braemontgomery@myctmh.com– I would love to share it on my blog!!

Chase the Rainbow- my take!

If you have the current CTMH catalogue then you have probably noticed the AMAZING layout on page 115 (right below the buttons). I know most of my customers have noticed and just love this layout! I have wanted to recreate it for a while and today finally got around to it.

My take did require to change a few things due to what I had on hand- I did use the Wings paper (but switched out one piece). I had to use a different Alphabet and flourish stamp to add those images but they kept the feel intact and I have to say- I love the finished product!!

I will say though- it was a labour of love! This was not a layout that took me only a half hour to finish (and since I was chatting with friends and watching our children it is hard to know exactly how long it took me but I know it was at least an hour if not more) BUT that being said- IT WAS WORTH IT!!
