Life is Tweet Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Blog Hop!

If you have arrived from Fancy Melissa’s page then you are on the correct path! This month we are featuring the ‘Life is Tweet’ set- soooooo cute!
I paired the stamp set with the Dotty paper (which I love!) and elements from our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to create this layout of my daughter enjoying a cupcake for the first time!
My cupcake was ‘iced’ with liquid applique that I just allowed to dry overnight – no heat setting for this glossy finish!
I also used our bakers twine and felt letters to adorn my title banner.
Here I used the cricut Art philosophy to cut out some of the coordinating shapes for my stamping- love that I didn’t have to handcut this one!

Now hop on over to Debra’s blog!

Catching up with Studio J

Like many of you I often find myself falling behind on my scrapbooking- life is busy and I want to live it to the fullest BUT I also want to remember those memories later on- Studio J is the perfect answer to this problem for me!
This is just four of the ten layouts I created this week- mostly worked on during nap times (and let me tell you my daughter takes VERY short naps!).  I am really pleased with what I accomplished and feel much better about the large box of photos I still have waiting to be worked on!

All of these events were things that had taken place over the last month or so- I picked those to work on since I had not printed the photos yet.  By doing this I save BIG on photo development and can use that money on completing layouts instead.  On these four layouts alone I have 27 photos- they are not all 4×6 (which range in price from ten cents a photo up to thirty cents depending on store and quality) and the larger the photo the more you pay!
If you want to try out Studio J for FREE then go to http://ctmh.com/braemontgomery and click on the studio J link! Have fun and please share with me what you create- I love to see what people come up with!

May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month blog hop! If you have come here from Michelle’s blog then you are on the right path!
This month we are featuring the Friendship Bouquet stamp set- a set of 8 gorgeous stamps!
This was inspired by something I saw online and I changed.  I made the little origami holder on the top right with the florentine paper and some of our seam binding ribbon.  On each side of the holder is a pocket- on one side the pocket holds a little card and on the other it holds a 1×1 stamp that I can gift to someone special!   The top pic shows all the pieces and below you can see them nestled in the holder.

Now hop on over to Judy’s blog and see what she has in store for you!

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop: “You are…”

Welcome to the Blog Hop!
If you have come from Lisa’s blog then you are on the right path!

I am pretty excited to show you my artwork this month! I was really rushed to finish it but LOVE how it turned out! Sometimes a deadline really does free up your creativity!

For this layout I used the stamp set, Stella paper (and the colour scheme from Stella), the Stella canvas stickease and DE stars. My layout was inspired by a project I saw on Pinterest- if you are interested in seeing this login to pinterest and follow me- I am under braemontgomery- the inspiration can be found on my papercrafting love board.

I was also inspired by an interview that someone had pinned- 21 Questions to ask your child. I asked my oldest the questions and worked his responses into the layout. Since the journaling may be hard to read I have also cut and paste it below. Try these out with your children- for me it may become a yearly task!

If you don’t want to read the journaling then feel free to hop on over to Nikka’s blog and see what she has created!

I found the interview on Pinterest and couldn’t wait to ask Austin and hear his answers. He didn’t disappoint me either- funny! He said things that made me laugh- like I don’t teach but Ellery does! Love it! This year I am on maternity leave and Ellery is part of the Roots of Empathy program where she goes with me into a classroom and the kids all learn about babies and through that they learn empathy skills- we refer to this as her teaching job all the time at home! I also got a good laugh out of my favourite food being stirfry- I cannot remember the last time I had stirfry and much prefer fajitas- but that is how he sees it! In his world I have a lot more time to scrapbook too- nice place wish I could claim it as reality! Love this kid and plan to ask him these questions again some day!

Origami project

This little project was inspired by a origami project that I saw on pinterest! I used the florentine paper and created the holder. I decorated the holder with some of our seam binding ribbon dyed honey and some cocoa ribbon as well as flowers from an upcoming stamp of the month. On one side of the holder is a card and on the other a little gift – perfect for one of my upcoming hostesses!

Here you can see the card and the gift holder- the gift is a little 1×1 close to my heart stamp.

Have you fallen in love with pinterest? if you are not on it I highly encourage you to check it out-so much inspiration for crafters!!
