Very Merry Blog Hop

Welcome to the blog hop!! If you have come from Traci’s blog then you are on the path.

This month I am featuring the Very Merry Christmas stamp set with the Pear and Partridge paper. I also used bits of the gold Mini-medley to accent my artwork.
My layout was inspired by a sketch challenge that my friend Steph ran for our day crop.
Here is the sketch!
Here is my artwork inspired by her sketch!
I love how it turned out! I used the Cricut Artiste to create the Ho Ho title as well as my two tags.  The sub-title came from the ZipStrip at the top of the Pear and Partridge paper.  I cannot wait to add a picture this Christmas!

Now hop on over to Wanda’s blog!

Display Tray makes a wonderful gift!

I think the display tray may be my favorite product right now! They are wonderful for scrapbookers but even better for those that don’t scrapbook but like the look and want to display their memories!! They are so easy to decorate and look wonderful in any home!
The two trays shown here I made today- one is for a very special boy’s first birthday and the other is for a contest winner! I love how they both turned out and hope the recipients love them too!

New Product Blog Hop!!

So excited to welcome you on the blog hop from Doreen’s blog ! I have so much stuff to share but I am only going to share one thing today and if you want to see more than you will have to come back for a visit!
Okay so I LOVE our new product- I always do of course but this year I love it more! and I don’t have any clue what my ‘favourite’ product would be because it is all so fantastic!
I created this piece in preparation for my team stamp camp – all the lucky attendees will be creating this beauty as one of our classes!  To create this frame (that I should gift but I don’t think I will be able to part with) I started with our NEW my creations bracket frame (note: one is NOT enough!!) and our new Clementine paper!!
I used our large size bonding memories glue to glue the front blue paper on to the frame- for the most part it worked okay.  I did get a couple bubbles but not right away so I suspect my lovely kids may have had more to do with them then the glue.
I also used a LOT of new accessories- seriously how could I not?! I used the Cottage Assortment, Brown and Tan sparkles, Clementine Canvas Shapes and Floret Paper Shapes.  I also used our new burlap ribbon to make my background paper- did you notice that? I used page 73 in the new catalogue for this inspiration.  I also did some stamping using our new pigment inks (since this is a home decor piece I want the colour to last) and the Casual Expressions stamp set.  Lots of product used but I LOVE how the finished work came together!
You can purchase all of these products on my website (if you are in Canada) at http://ctmh.com/braemontgomery!
If you are thinking – ‘WOW I wish I was part of her team!!’ then visit my website and sign up to be a consultant – the kit is only $49 and you get a fabulous extra gift this month!!! See that here on my facebook page! and while you are there like my page to see more artwork and other great updates!

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring Baroque Borders- a very flourishy stamp set that is perfect for all your crafting needs!

If you are coming from Jill’s blog then you are on the pathway to lots of amazing artwork and inspiration!
I chose to use this stamp to create a one page layout from our new MAKE IT FROM THE HEART how to book- this is a magazine format that retails for only 7.95- it has two page layouts, single layouts and even card patterns! This one is from a two page layout  that I rotated.  I love how it worked!
I used papers from the Avonlea kit and the Pear and Partridge kit, some of our new accents from the Slate mini-medley collection, the Slate ribbon and an image for the Cricut Artiste collection (for the title circle).  The stamp images were stamped in our new colour RUBY- which accented perfectly with my daughters tutu!
If you are interested in purchasing any of this new product or other new stuff feel free to visit my online store (Canadian only – sorry!) http://ctmh.com/braemontgomery all purchases will be shipped right to your door!
If you are on the blog hop path then HOP on over to Carla’s blog and see what she has to share!

There is no NORMAL

Today at convention we heard from our keynote speaker Stacey Julian- did you know she used to be a consultant for our company?! Way back when we were called DOTS – I thought that was a best fact!
But- that is not what I wanted to share from her. She is probably the best speaker I have ever heard! So insightful and she had us in tears several times over a variety of things – and she cried right along with us! If you don’t know who she is then look her up- her website is bigpictureclasses.com and she will change your life and how you view and celebrate it!

What I learned from her today:
– scrapbook my stories and the stories of the people in my life
– my scrapbooks are for me (my kids will not see the same value in them)
– your life is what it is and you will never have time to scrapbook everything you might want to but carve out some creative time for yourself weekly and be sure to use it to scrapbook what is really important!
-text messages speak most to our kids these days: take a pic in your phone and send it to them and tell them how you feel and how special they are!! Love this one ( my kids are to young for phones yet but I will send it to their dad!)

And most of all- have FUN with your art!!
Loved her messages!!

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop: Live out Loud

Welcome to the Blog Hop!

If you have come from Leanne’s blog then WELCOME to mine!

For this stamp set I decided to finally scrapbook the pictures of my son using sidewalk chalk on the walls of our house- we don’t have a sidewalk or a paved driveway so he had to make do!  He had such a wonderful time and I knew when I scrapbooked the photos I wanted to be able to create that sidewalk chalk feel- and this stamp set was perfect!
I stamped the images in colours that coordinated with the colours of his chalk- and used watercolour pencils to add some more colour and blended them with the blending pen.   I love how it turned out! The paper used here is Wings – this is no longer available BUT I am trying to scrap my stash!!!! We have a new catalogue coming out soon and new papers- I need to use up the old to make way for the new!
Now hop on over to Angela’s blog to see what treasures she has created!

Splash layout for a workshop party!

The other day I was asked to design a layout for a home gathering where the hostess preferred a workshop focus- for five dollars each of her guests was able to create this layout.
We used the footloose paper and stamp from the footloose workshop on the go as well as the bakers twine and some coordinating elements from the art philosophy cricut cartridge! It turned out great!
