Welcome to Day 11 of the CTMH Idea Book reveal- today’s page is simple and sweet! I simply love how it all came together. I based this page on a sketch I saw on Pinterest ( you can follow me on Pinterest by clicking here). I knew when I saw the layout that I wanted to keep things clean but beautiful. The paper I used is all from the Skylark paper pack- isn’ that patterned piece with the birds in the top left corner to die for! Would you believe the paper looks like that- I didn’t have to add anything to that top corner!
I did add some simple pieces to finish the page off- some flowers and a bird from the Skylark Assortment and a few of the chipboard pieces from the Skylark complements.
I love all the great videos CTMH creates to share with you the MANY things you can do with our cricut cartridges- CTMH Cricut Artbooking Made Easy: Sweet Smiles is just another in the series!
Day 10 already! The time is passing quickly and the orders are rolling in to the CTMH Idea book reveal party- have you ordered yet? Remember you can order on my SHOP under the Idea Book reveal party and you will be entered in to the draw to win the HOSTESS REWARDS for the entire party!
Today I am going to show another layout for another workshop on the go kit- this one is Lollydoodle! How adorable is this layout of my daughter and her friends at gymnastics?! I love the interesting cuts on this layout that make it so much more interesting than a basic layout full of square cuts! This kit is one that you do need to purchase, or already own, the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge if you would like to complete it. You can create the layout with the straight cuts if you like but the intricate ones are so much more fun!
Do you have any of our Cricut cartridges? Tell me below what you own, which cartridge is on your wish list and how you plan to get it. I may just draw a lucky winner to win a special prize!
Welcome to Day 9 of the CTMH Idea Book reveal! Today we are moving away from the soft and springlike to a more masculine product reveal. For a long time (8 years) the only child I had to scrapbook was my son, Austin. Early on I learned to really appreciate the time and attention that CTMH pays to making masculine papers with a board appeal. Timberline is a paper just like that- although it can be very theme based – outdoorsy or camping- it can also be used in creative ways to fit different purposes!
My first layout comes from the Timberline workshop on the go kit- I already spoke about the ease of these kits earlier but they come with a full paper pack, usually two full accessory packs, an exclusive stamp set and instructions for two layouts! I can’t say we camp a lot but I still enjoyed putting this kit together with all the cute stamp images and super-cute wooden accessories!
My next layout shows the same timberline paper, timberline assortment and timberline stickease being used in a completely different fashion. I am a big believer in scrapbooking the more difficult times in our lives- we are great at featuring the fun and happy but most tend to stay away from anything deeper. This past summer, Austin had to undergo open-heart surgery to repair a congenital heart defect (meaning he was born with this). Certainly one of the hardest moments of our lives and VERY stressful! It was rough on Austin but he was able to keep moving through it all- he persevered through pain, discomfort and hours of just feeling crummy! All of this I made sure to document in this layout- I want him to know just how amazing he did and how special he is to us!
In order to make this theme fit the ‘adventure’ theme of the stickers I really only had to adjust a few things- I took a few stickers and added some writing to them. the ‘picnic’ stickers now says ‘no picnic’ and the ‘happy camper’ now reads ‘not a happy camper’. Other stickers I just had to use in the correct place- things like ‘take a hike’ or ‘roughen’ it’ were perfect for what I was writing about and helped carry through my story.
Welcome to Day 8 of the CTMH Idea Book reveal! Today I want to share with you a layout inspired by page 21 of the new Idea Book (if you have one you can look it up and see what I am talking about- and remember you can also view the idea book online).
As soon as I saw that single page in the Idea book I knew I had to recreate it- with my own twist of course! This layout does not feature any of the stamping that the other one does- I instead used the Skylark complements to fill in the places that would have featured some stamping. I love to stamp but I also know that not everyone feels the same way- this shows the versatility of our product line!
The other thing that I added to this layout (beyond a second page) is a piece of the Skylark Picture my Life kit. You can see it in the close up photo below- I used one of the cards and created a nice little spot to feature my journaling!

Since I wrote this post a week ago I have created a video to go along with this layout- a great step by step so you can create your own! Check it out!
Photo development is always something that scrapbookers do not take lightly! Finding a quality service that is quick, has great quality and a variety of sizes (or even the ability to create your own sizes) is rare. Wouldn’t it be great if you had something like this and it came right to your door within a week?!
We do- its called Studio J!
Let me take you step by step through the process. You can click on any of the photos to be taken to Studio J on my website- if it is your first time you will need to create an account (don’t worry it is free and you pay for nothing in the Studio unless you want to purchase it!)
You will create a project and title it whatever suits you- I chose ‘February Photo Development’ so that I knew what and when the photos were from.
You will be prompted to upload photos- you can do this now OR do it later. You do not need to wait for the photos to load before you move on in the project. They will continue to load as you work on the next few steps.
At your next screen you will chose to ‘Start with an Express Collection’
This is the screen you will see next- you want to select the collection that is ‘Photo Development’
Your next screen will have you chose a layout to add your photos too- you will start with one but can add more as you work on your project. There are five different layout styles to chose from.
Now you can add more layouts OR add your photos- one thing to keep in mind is you need a minimum of four layouts in order to ship your order- this is easily done for most people 🙂
To add your photos just drag and drop them from the menu on the left (a check mark will appear once you have used them). To add another layout just click on the ‘Add Layout” button in the bottom right corner (and chose to work in the same express collection you are currently in).
Here is what a full layout will look like- don’t forget you can change the filter of your photos to black and white or sepia.
Once done you will chose the ‘Buy project’ button on the bottom right and the program will prompt you to ‘approve’ your layouts and then you can check out! You will have your goodies in a week and a file will be emailed to you with the JPEGs of all your purchased layouts.
Oh my goodness- I am a little excited to show you today’s project and featured items!!! Of course welcome back to Day 7 of the CTMH Idea Book Reveals… and today’s project which not only features one of our great new products BUT an exclusive one!! You read that right- this one is exclusive and you can ONLY get it when you host a party!
WHAT?! NO FAIR!!
Nope, absolutely fair- maybe you don’t realize how easy and fun a party can be? If you live in Central Ontario (or sometimes even other parts as I like to travel) I will come to you and we can have a lovely home party OR a hostess-designed workshop- whatever you like! If you are not local don’t worry! I have something for you too! We could have an online Facebook party- they are sometimes even BETTER than an in house party as no one needs to worry about weather, finding sitters or getting dressed to leave the house! Just contact me (and believe me you will WANT to!) If you want to find out a little bit more about hosting please click on the “Be a Hostess” tab above.
Here is our super sweet project- a card featuring that exclusive item- the ‘Unicorn Dreams’ stamp set… it is too cute for words!!!
The card itself is pretty simple- I stamped the unicorn in hollyhock ink and stamped the sentiment over top in black ink. I added some paper to the top and a strip of paper folded up across that for some dimension. Then I finished it off with a few more of those sequins from the lollydoodle cardmaking workshop on the go kit!
Welcome back to the 6th day of the CTMH Idea Book reveal- I hope you have been enjoying yourself and if there is anything you would like to see featured or shown in an upcoming post be sure to let me know! In FACT- although you can view the full Idea Book online at this link– if you are in Canada and place an order through me I will also send you a real version FREE! Just email me once you place your order and I will send it the next day.
Today I am featuring a layout I created using a variety of products. One of the things I love most about our current spring/summer line of products is the VERSATILITY it offers! So many of the products can mix with other items and will match beautifully! In this layout I have mixed two different lines- Ivy Lane and Balloon Ride.
