August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring Baroque Borders- a very flourishy stamp set that is perfect for all your crafting needs!

If you are coming from Jill’s blog then you are on the pathway to lots of amazing artwork and inspiration!
I chose to use this stamp to create a one page layout from our new MAKE IT FROM THE HEART how to book- this is a magazine format that retails for only 7.95- it has two page layouts, single layouts and even card patterns! This one is from a two page layout  that I rotated.  I love how it worked!
I used papers from the Avonlea kit and the Pear and Partridge kit, some of our new accents from the Slate mini-medley collection, the Slate ribbon and an image for the Cricut Artiste collection (for the title circle).  The stamp images were stamped in our new colour RUBY- which accented perfectly with my daughters tutu!
If you are interested in purchasing any of this new product or other new stuff feel free to visit my online store (Canadian only – sorry!) http://ctmh.com/braemontgomery all purchases will be shipped right to your door!
If you are on the blog hop path then HOP on over to Carla’s blog and see what she has to share!

Until we craft again, The Brae-er

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to my spot on the blog hop!!

This month we are featuring Something Splendid- a really lovely stamp set (and fast becoming one of my favourites!)

Read on to see my creation and find out about a great technique- rub-on resist!!

The first step for this technique is to place your rub-ons on your card front. I used all colonial white rub-ons but you can use any colour you like and you can mix it up. If you are not sure why then read on and all will become clear!

After you place your rub-ons in the desired location sponge ink around your images. Next (and do not allow for much time between these steps) take some scotch tape and quickly remove your rub-ons. The tape will easily peel the rub-ons off and leave the paper showing from below!!

Here is my final card- I LOVED how this turned out and truly have to thank Nona Davenport for teaching me this technique at convention!!

Now hop on over to Dawn’s blog and see the fabulous project that she has created!

Until we craft again, The Brae-er

I absolutely love the card, Brae! I saw this technique on Nona’s blog and am dying to try it, especially after seeing your card! Thanks for the inspiration!
